At the end of June, the the offer of the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) to purchase twelve UH-60M Black Hawk from manufacturer Sikorsky was accepted. At the Farnborough International Airshow, Austria’s Armaments Director Major General Harald Vodosek paid a visit to Vice President and General Manager Richard Benton at the Sikorsky stand.
The two discussed “the advanced features of the UH-60M Black Hawk” on site, according to a recent statement.

Incidentally, Austria was the first Black Hawk operator in Europe and, in Sikorsky’s view, “paved the way for a Black Hawk and Seahawk fleet that is constantly growing and currently covers 14 countries across the continent”. Major General Vodosek had traveled to Farnborough, among other places, to attend the contract signing ceremony for the procurement of four new Embraer C-390M transport aircraft for the Austrian Armed Forces. to take part.
