This September, the Austrian Armed Forces are organizing “Airpower 22” at the Hinterstoisser airbase in Zeltweg together with their partners, the Province of Styria and Red Bull. To promote the event, two Austrian Armed Forces Eurofighters flew an impressive performance demonstration yesterday evening before the start of the night slalom in Schladming. This performance was opened with a flag flight of an Alouette III with the Styrian flag.
“Airpower is deliberately designed as an event for the whole family. With the involvement of experts in the field of sustainability and environmental protection, special attention is already being paid to all aspects of sustainability during the planning stage. The ‘Airpower’ will once again inspire tens of thousands of people over the two days of the event and create enormous added value for the Murtal region and Styria,” explains Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner. This year’s air show will consist of a military performance show on the ground, as well as demonstrations by the Austrian Air Force, the Flying Bulls and international military aerobatic teams and participants from the civil aviation sector, an exhibition from the aviation industry, research and education, as well as an extensive supporting event on the airfield grounds, including the Military Aviation Museum. A total of around 200 civil and military aircraft from around 20 nations will be on display. The aim is to get young visitors in particular interested in career opportunities in the red-white-red air force. https://militaeraktuell.at/airpower-projektleiter-brigadier-prieler-im-gespraech/
