At the Enforce Tac in Nuremberg the US aerospace company Walaris will present a tactical, mobile counter-sUAS system that combines the company’s Air Scout AI software with modern sensor technology. The solution is designed for rapid deployment in dynamic environments.
According to a Walaris press release, Air Scout’s architecture “supports the seamless fusion of multiple sensor types and enables mission-specific configurations through modular adaptability”. The demonstration device at the show combines OpenWorks’ Vision Flex imaging system with Echodyne’s EchoGuard radar, showcasing threat detection capabilities with a configurable architecture that can adapt to new threat vectors and scale with mission requirements.
According to the company, the mobile counter-SUAS system detects targets at a distance of up to 1,500 meters and classifies small UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) at a distance of 550 meters. As an AI-enabled edge solution, Air Scout processes data locally without the need for a network connection, ensuring reliability in contested areas.
