On December 21, the detachments of all companies of Staff Battalion 3 celebrated the successful past year. Battalion commander Colonel Georg Härtinger and brigade commander Brigadier Christian Habersatter also presented the last promotions and awards for the year.
Among other things, several soldiers were rewarded and honored for their sporting achievements, but also some soldiers for their services to war graves care.
In their speeches, the commanders once again emphasized how important the contribution of Staff Battalion 3 with its base in Mautern is for the 3rd Jäger Brigade. They also gave the soldiers an outlook for the coming year. The order situation and the additional orders due to the coronavirus pandemic are likely to be the same next year as this year. Nevertheless, the soldiers of the staff battalion should not forget their core military task. The ceremony was then concluded with reflective words from the military chaplaincy.
