As part of an Industrial Participation Agreement with the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs Embraer has signed new cooperation agreements with TNO, OPT/NET and Ilias – a further step towards closer technological integration with the Dutch Defense Technology & Industrial Base (DTIB).

The Dutch Air Force is replacing its aging C-130 Hercules fleet with C-390M transport aircraft from the Brazilian manufacturer – in a joint procurement with Austria and Sweden. joint procurement with Austria and Sweden a total of 13 aircraft will be purchased, five of which for the Netherlands.

Embraer intends to collaborate with TNO on multi-agent systems and data management solutions to support surveillance missions more efficiently and increase operational responsiveness. The cooperation with OPT/NET focuses on AI-based technologies for decision support in complex military operations. Ilias, in turn, contributes integrated, real-time data solutions to improve fleet management.

The Embraer subsidiary Atech is to support these projects with its expertise in mission-critical systems, command and information infrastructure and intelligent data analysis and further strengthen the joint technological development with TNO and OPT/NET, according to an official press release from the Brazilian manufacturer.

The cooperation in the context of the C-390M procurement is of central importance for both parties,” emphasizes Jan Christiaan Dicke, Commissioner Military Production of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs.
