Springfield Armory presents a new full-size service and sport pistol in 9×19 caliber. Produced by HS-Produkt in Croatia, the Echelon is available in two barrel lengths: With a short 4.5″ barrel (114 millimeters) and – supplemented by a muzzle thread (½ x 28 UNEF) – with a length of 5.28″ (134 millimeters).

The heavily ribbed surface on the most important operating points on the slide immediately catches the eye – also on the top in front of the rear sight and at the end of the slide! The slide stop and magazine release can be operated from both sides and all index points are also serrated. The enlarged frame in the trigger area provides sufficient space for the trigger finger, even if a glove has to be worn. The Echelon is also supplied with a 17-round magazine and an extended 20-round magazine. All in all, Springfield Armory clearly appeals to tactical and dynamic users with the Echelon.

As a modern pistol concept, the Echelon has a modular design: Three interchangeable backstraps allow safe and comfortable handling. Furthermore, the “Variable Interface System” optics mounting system allows over 30 different optics to be mounted directly on the slide without mounting plates.

Finally, the closed trigger unit, the “Central Operating Group”, also has a modular design: it can be easily exchanged between different handle modules.
