Together with friends and supporters, the “Soldiers with a Heart” organized a fundraising campaign to surprise more than 120 children, young people and people with special needs in need with gifts and give them a bright Easter.

“Soldiers with Heart” President John Patrick Platzer is deeply touched: “Especially in times like these, it is inspiring to see how people come together to selflessly give joy.” The heartfelt wishes were listed on the association’s social media accounts: A total of 120 gifts of various kinds were received from comrades and friends from all over Austria – from books and coloring pads to board and video games as well as “Super Mario” and “Bluey” stuffed animals. Vice President Imrana Jashari emphasized the importance of this Easter bunny campaign: “Each of our gifts helps to give the children hope and joy. It shows them that they are not alone and that people are thinking of them.”

Over 120 children were given presents as a result of the fundraising campaign.

Richard Malle, owner of Armystyle in Rosentaler Straße in Klagenfurt, who acted as the “Easter bunny den” for the gifts that were dropped off, praises the community’s support: “It’s amazing to see how people have come into my store to do good. As a central and uncomplicated point of contact, we have made a contribution that will reach the hearts of many children.” The Easter bunny from the four partner organizations in Spittal, Villach and Klagenfurt will receive the presents in the next few days. He is delighted and sends a message to all supporting hands: “Thank you for your help and Happy Easter!”
