On Monday, Al-Maktoum International Airport opened the 19th edition of the Dubai Airshow opened was opened. The organizers are expecting more than 148,000 visitors this week – a new record. Manufacturers and armed forces will be presenting around 200 aircraft of all categories on the extensive static display.
A total of 490 civil and military delegations from all over the world are expected to attend, including an official representation from Austria. More than 1,500 companies from over 47 countries will use the trade fair to present the latest technologies and products from the civil and military aviation sector.
The first highlight from an Austrian perspective already took place on the first day of the fair: Together with the Air Chiefs from the Netherlands and Sweden, Austria’s Air Chief Major General Gerfried Promberger signed an agreement to work together on training, maintenance and knowledge exchange in connection with the Embraer aircraft procured by all three nations. Embraer C-390M purchased by all three nations.
