In January of this year Dynamit Nobel Defence (DND) began construction of a new production and office building in Hungary. The construction project is now well advanced and is on schedule. This envisages that production will start in summer 2026. This was preceded by a comprehensive site analysis to examine infrastructure, transport links and funding opportunities.
The new plant will be used to manufacture launch tubes for the RGW family. The layout of the production facility takes into account optimal material flows, short distances and flexible expansion options. At the same time, a modern working environment will be created for the approximately 50 employees on site. In addition to the production areas, social rooms and modern office space are also planned.
According to DND, special attention was also paid to sustainability and energy efficiency. Photovoltaic systems, heat recovery systems and an intelligent building control system are planned in order to reduce operating costs and contribute to environmental protection.
If everything goes according to plan in the second half of this project, the seamless installation and commissioning of the production facilities will take place once the construction work has been completed, enabling a smooth start to production. “With the new production facility, we are creating the basis for growth, innovation and long-term success on the market – supported by a dedicated team and state-of-the-art technology,” reads a DND press release.
