Helmut Rauch, CEO of Diehl Defenseand Anil D. Ambani, founder of the Reliance Group, discussed further details of the strategic partnership at a meeting – building on a cooperation agreement signed in 2019.
The aim of the agreement is to “supply the Indian armed forces with the Vulcano 155 millimeter precision-guided munition”, according to a recent press release.
“Diehl Defence is looking forward to deepening the existing relationship with Reliance under the TGM program for the Indian Armed Forces,” said Helmut Rauch.
As part of the cooperation, a new production facility with an annual capacity of up to 200,000 artillery shells, 10,000 tons of explosives and 2,000 tons of propellant powder is being built in the Watad industrial area in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra (India).
