Diehl Defense and the Edge Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at IDEX in Abu Dhabi, which envisages a partnership between the two companies.

According to Diehl Defence, the partnership agreement means “an expansion of market potential in the region”. At the same time, the cooperation between Diehl Defence and Egde will “improve the sovereign defense and security capabilities of the United Arab Emirates”.

The MoU was signed by Omar Al Zaabi, President Commercial and Mission Support at Edge, and Harald Buschek, Chief Program Officer of Diehl Defence.

Diehl Defence presented itself extensively at IDEX 2025 in line with current industry trends and market demand. On display were models of the Iris-T SLM ground-based air defense system as well as guided missiles for both ground-to-air and air-to-air applications. In addition, products for coastal defense and RSBS15 missile models as well as ammunition, fuses and protection systems were also presented at the Diehl Defence stand.
