Diehl Defence has fully acquired e.sigma Systems GmbH and its subsidiary e.sigma Technology GmbH with locations in Munich and Ilmenau in a so-called share deal.
e.sigma Systems GmbH is known for its training and simulation technologies for military deployment scenarios. The e.sigma solutions include tailor-made simulation systems for a wide range of platforms and command systems, as well as user-configured training centers.
This includes the e.Taccs product, a tactical command and control platform for all branches of the armed forces with an open and modular system architecture that can be run both locally and on cloud platforms. e.sigma also offers the “KOFA – Advanced Voice Processing System”, an AI-supported communication system software that offers internet-free and secure application options in both the military and civilian markets.
The acquisition offers e.sigma the opportunity to achieve the next level of growth in cooperation with a strong partner in the field of air defense, according to a recent press release. For Diehl Defence, e.sigma offers, among other things, the strategic contribution of training capabilities for air defense systems, true to the motto “train as you fight”.
The existing company will continue to operate independently with its own management and its entire portfolio on the market as e.sigma.
