At the last race of the 2025 Ski World Championships in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner visited the soldiers of the High Mountain Jäger Battalion 23 from Vorarlberg and Tyrol to thank them for their commitment.
The soldiers have been actively supporting the event since January 28, and even after the last races, the dismantling work will continue until February 20.
Minister Tanner also visited the army meteorologists, whose precise weather forecasts for the Zwölferkogel made a significant contribution to the optimal preparation of the race course. Their analyses helped the piste workers to treat the course with water or salt to ensure perfect racing conditions.
The close cooperation between the Austrian Armed Forces and the organizers played a key role in ensuring that the 2025 World Ski Championships in Hinterglemm ran smoothly.
