Croatia has already decided in 2021 to replace its old MiG-21 fleet with twelve used Dassault Rafale F3-Rs from the French Air Force – The first six aircraft have now arrived in the capital Zagreb.

According to official information, further Rafale aircraft are to arrive in Croatia by the end of the year after the aircraft that have now been handed over, and the order will then be completed with the handover of the remaining jets at the beginning of next year.

In addition to the overhauled aircraft, the French offer includes a flight simulator, a basic weapons package (Meteor-BVR was not explicitly mentioned), ground and test equipment, spare parts, flight instructor training, comprehensive support from authorized representatives of the manufacturer over a period of three years and a twelve-month warranty for each aircraft, engine and other equipment and spare parts.
