The Czech Rheinmetall-rival CSG has signed a framework agreement with the Slovakian Ministry of Defense for the supply of ammunition worth up to 58 billion euros. The deal, which runs for seven years, was signed by CSG’s Slovakian subsidiary ZVS Holding – a joint venture between CSG and the Slovakian state.

The contract value corresponds to the maximum possible scope of delivery based on the existing production capacities. Slovakia wants to “assume a leading role in the supply of large and medium-calibre ammunition to EU member states in the future”, emphasized Defence Minister Robert Kaliňák.
