The challenges and areas of application of special forces and specialized units are diverse. ESKA’s product range is at least as diverse. It is designed to provide operators and qualified users with the best possible support for their tasks.

ESKA has been around for 113 years. Despite all the technical achievements over the years, the Upper Austrian family business has remained a genuine glove manufacturer, of which there are probably only a few left. “We have never produced anything other than gloves and have therefore always done what we know best. We live our craft every day and are honestly proud of it,” reports ESKA Managing Director Paul Loos. The wide range of products is therefore no coincidence. It includes firefighting and protective work gloves as well as sports, multifunctional, motorcycle and elegant leather gloves. But that’s not all.

Highly specific models

Tailor-made special solutions from ESKA are also available for the military, police forces and authorities around the world. “Every country deploys its units differently, and there are also climatic differences. In order to meet the requirements precisely, we work in a highly customer-oriented manner and in close coordination with the respective client. We also incorporate our extensive experience from other product areas into the development process,” explains Loos. The successful work of the ESKA team has long been recognized not only in Europe. Armies from Australia, New Zealand and Asia repeatedly rely on models from the Austrian quality brand and appreciate the flexibility of the family-run company from Thalheim near Wels.

Enormous demands

The demands for protection, functionality and tactility have reached an unprecedented level worldwide. Depending on the intended use, there are different requirements for the products. “Protection, precision and sensitivity are important for a tactical glove, while robustness and grip are expected first and foremost from a cold and wet finger glove,” says the ESKA boss. The Vader tactical glove, on the other hand, combines protection, precision and dexterity. The silicone print on the palm ensures the best grip, while the flexible backhand protector and the newly developed cut ensure an ingenious tactile feel at the fingertips. The strikingly lightweight Spartacus tactical glove scores points for its fit, dexterity, grip and backhand protection.

Both gloves enable intuitive and accurate operation of touch displays. In production, ESKA relies on a careful selection of materials that is coordinated down to the last detail.
