Members of the Croatian Special Forces Command and a team of special forces from the US Armed Forces conducted joint exercises in March and April (Joint Combined Exchange Training, JCET) in the Udbina area and the waters off Split. The aim was to exchange experiences and the integration of allied units and increasing interoperability.

This year’s activities included parachute jumps on land and water, situational and instinctive shooting battles by day and night, and the exchange of experiences and approaches to mechanical, ballistic and explosive penetration.

In recent weeks, training has been conducted by the relevant commands to practice conducting a forcible vessel seizure operation (VBSS) while underway using rigid hull inflatable boats (RHIB boats), combat divers, shore seizure procedures and underwater navigation.

The exercise was organized by members of the Croatian Navy and the Croatian Air Force. In a statement, the Croatian Ministry of Defense emphasized that the cooperation “at a very high professional level”.
