Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner has chosen Colonel Georg Frischeis as the new commander of the Guard. He is an officer with operational experience, a team trainer for leadership behavior and knows the Guard from his many years of service in this representative and operational unit of the Armed Forces.

Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner: “With Colonel Georg Frischeis, an experienced officer is taking command of the Guard. Especially in times of security policy upheaval, it is important that an officer with experience at home and abroad leads the largest unit in the Vienna area. I wish Colonel Georg Frischeis all the best and much strength for his challenging tasks in representation but also, should it be necessary, with the Guard in action.” https://militaeraktuell.at/5-sichten-auf-die-welt-002-was-war-was-ist-was-wird/
