Rheinmetall is able to make the second call-off from the framework agreement for the supply of 155-millimeter artillery ammunition with the German Armed Forces army. The German Army has commissioned Rheinmetall to supply a total of several tens of thousands of L15 projectiles for the Ukrainian armed forces, as well as conventional 155-millimeter Assassai projectiles. The order value is in the low three-digit million range. Delivery is scheduled to take place in the course of 2024.

As recently as July 2023, Rheinmetall announced the concluded a new framework agreement with the German armed forces and extended an existing one in the artillery sector. The portfolio also includes the versatile 155-millimeter Assegai artillery ammunition family from Rheinmetall Denel Munition: insensitive ammunition (IM), conventional explosive rounds (High Explosive/HE) as well as smoke, illumination, infrared illumination and other rounds. The entire range of Assegai ammunition can be used over the full range of around 40 kilometers.
