The Military Band of Upper Austria performed its “Bruckner Concert” in Freistadt a few days ago. The main protagonists of the concert evening – the Military Band of Upper Austria, the Singflut choir from Lasberg under the direction of Alexandra Wagner, the organist of the Old Cathedral in Linz, Bernhard Prammer, and soloist Veronika Riedl – were delighted to see a full parish church.
The program was hosted by Lieutenant Colonel Martin Weiß. The numerous guests, including the Mayor of Freistadt, Christian Gratzl, the Military Commander of Upper Austria, Brigadier Dieter Muhr, and the Head of the Directorate of Culture and Society of the Province of Upper Austria, Margot Nazzal, seemed to enjoy the concert. https://militaeraktuell.at/boeing-saab-t-7-trainer-macht-weitere-fortschritte/ The concert opened pompously with Ecce sacerdos, the choir continued with Locus iste and then the organ began. The rest of the evening saw the orchestra, organ, choir and singer Veronika Riedl alternating and interacting musically, taking the audience from classical music by Anton Bruckner to modern arrangements of (pop) music.
