Frequentis is getting a new president: Brian Bruckbauer will replace outgoing President Jay Balakirsky in 2024. The company announced this on October 31. Bruckbauer will join the FDI on February 1 and take over as President on April 1.

Jay Balakirsky joined Frequentis USA in 2020 as Vice President Sales and was appointed FDI President a year later. Now taking over is Brian Bruckbauer, who has been President and CEO of the Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA) for the past two years, where he led the organization on a new strategic path to promote airspace integration for all airspace users. Prior to that, he retired from the US Air Force as a Brigadier General in 2021. Bruckbauer commanded at the squadron, group and squadron levels, was Senior Military Assistant to the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, a staff member at the Council on Foreign Relations and served twice in Afghanistan. In his last position, as Director of Air Force Security Assistance and Cooperation, he oversaw all U.S. Air Force foreign military sales – a 213 billion dollar portfolio serving 118 countries. Notably, he was the first air traffic control officer in the US Air Force to achieve the rank of General Officer. https://militaeraktuell.at/bundeswehr-uebergibt-mantis-systeme-an-die-slowakei/ Norbert Haslacher, Frequentis CEO, commented on the personnel news: “The Board of Directors would like to thank Jay for his leadership during his tenure. Jay has been instrumental in rebuilding FDI and has the necessary relationships and agreements with the U.S. government to enable FDI to execute new and expanded contracts for the U.S. Department of Defense. We wish Jay all the best when he retires from FDI in 2024. I would now like to welcome Brian to the Frequentis Group and wish him every success in his new role with us.” FDI delivers advanced, mission-specific technology solutions to military customers in critical areas such as Voice Communication Systems (VCS), Remote Digital Towers (RDT) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
