BAE Systems and AMS Integrated Solutions Ltd. are working together to provide support for artillery systems deployed in Ukraine and manufactured by BAE Systems. The agreement was signed in Kiev. Under the contract, the two companies will provide repair and support services for artillery systems donated by the UK government. AMS will also use existing maintenance centers in Ukraine and employ Ukrainian engineers there.
“We have many years of experience supporting our products around the world, sometimes in very difficult environments. We are proud to be able to bring this knowledge and experience, combined with AMS’ in-country capabilities and facilities, to support our products in service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” said John Borton, Managing Director of BAE Systems’ Weapon Systems UK business.

Gary Riordan, CEO of AMS, said: “We at AMS are honored to partner with BAE Systems to strengthen our commitment to supporting the Ukraine war effort. Our partnership is a union of expertise and commitment, leveraging BAE Systems’ extensive experience in manufacturing artillery systems and our proven track record in maintenance, repair and overhaul services. This collaboration allows us to leverage our in-country facilities and skilled engineers to rapidly restore critical artillery equipment to ensure the resilience and readiness of Ukraine’s defense capabilities.” Both BAE Systems and AMS have significant experience in supporting medium and large caliber weapon systems. BAE Systems originally manufactured much of the equipment provided to Ukraine by the UK and other governments. AMS already has an agreement with the UK Ministry of Defense and has established facilities in the country to carry out this work.
