The Minister of Defence emphasized the importance of international cooperation: “Whether it’s drought, severe weather or a lack of drinking water – every minute counts in an emergency. With this successful certification, the Austrian Armed Forces together with the Samaritans once again demonstrate how quickly, reliably and internationally operational our experts are. I would like to thank everyone involved for their commitment and professionalism.”

Reinhard Hundsmüller, Managing Director of the Samariterbund, adds: “The joint certification of the drinking water treatment module is an impressive demonstration of the value of close cooperation between civilian and military organizations. Regular joint exercises strengthen coordination, communication and operational capability – in Austria and beyond.”
