Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner has appointed Arnold Kammel as Secretary General and Roman Markhart as Head of Cabinet. With these personnel decisions, the Ministry is focusing on continuity and “the consistent continuation of the ‘Mission Forward’ in the Minister’s second term of office”, as stated in a recent press release.
Roman Markhart brings with him many years of experience as a political manager and, as Head of Cabinet, will assume a central role in the political and administrative management of the department.
With this “strong leadership”, the “successful modernization process” of the Austrian Armed Forces is to be further advanced, according to the press release. The focus is on strengthening the national defense capability, increasing resilience and providing the best possible support for soldiers.
