On November 20, the symbolic handover of the Advent wreaths for the foreign contingents of the Austrian Armed Forces took place at the Bernardis-Schmid Rossauer Barracks in Vienna. Austrian Armed Forces Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner handed over the Advent wreaths to the CCO of Austrian Airlines (AUA), Michael Trestl. AUA will once again be responsible for the free transport of Advent wreaths and Christmas trees for the Austrian soldiers in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo this year.

“Since the Christmas season is always a great emotional challenge for the operational contingents, these special Advent greetings from home are a very special sign of appreciation and a further indication that the comprehensive care of Austrian soldiers in foreign missions is guaranteed in numerous facets throughout all seasons,” says Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner. https://militaeraktuell.at/drohnen-werden-immer-wichtiger/ AUA Chief Customer Officer Michael Trestl added: “I am delighted that we, as Austria’s national carrier, are once again helping to transport Advent wreaths for the Austrian Armed Forces to Bosnia and Kosovo this year, so that we can also create a pre-Christmas atmosphere in the areas of deployment.”
