Airbus Defense & Space has reached an agreement to acquire Infodas. The Cologne-based company offers cyber security and IT solutions for the public sector, including the defense and critical infrastructure sectors. Subject to the usual regulatory approvals, the transaction is expected to be completed before the end of the current year.
The acquisition strengthens Airbus’ cybersecurity portfolio. In the face of rapidly growing cyber threats and the increasing digitalization and connectivity of the product portfolio, cybersecurity is a key element of Airbus’ future. In recent years, the Group has continuously expanded its cyber security capabilities and expertise to ensure the best possible protection for its products, operations and, of course, its customers, including key programs such as the Future Combat Air System (FCAS). https://militaeraktuell.at/modernisierte-boote-fuer-die-deutsche-marine/ Infodas employs around 250 people and generates annual revenues of around €50 million. In addition to its headquarters in Cologne, the company has offices in Berlin, Bonn, Hamburg, Munich and Mainz. It has been certified by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) as an IT security service provider in the areas of auditing information systems, consulting and penetration testing. The SDoT security gateway product family from Infodas is approved for classification levels up to “Secret”. The products are also certified according to so-called “Common Criteria” and have additional country-specific certificates.
