On Friday, the military ceremony was held in Enns to mark the acceptance of the new constables of the Austrian Armed Forces took place in Enns. A total of 414 young non-commissioned officers, including 23 women, completed their 18-month training. The ceremony for the professional and militia soldiers took place in the presence of Secretary General Arnold Kammel and Chief of the General Staff Rudolf Striedinger on the main square in Enns.

After one and a half years of training, the retired constables now assume responsibility in the troops as group commanders during operations at home and abroad and in the training of recruits to the armed forces.

In honor of the constables, a C-130 Hercules and four AB212 helicopters flew over the site.

The best of the year – Constable Cornelia Urban – comes from the Salzburg Military Music. She achieved eight awards. She thanked her instructors and comrades for the past training period and dedicated her success to two deceased comrades, her late grandfather, a colonel in the Austrian Armed Forces, and a staff sergeant who died in an accident on a joint mountain tour, who spurred her on to train as a non-commissioned officer.

General Secretary Arnold Kammel presented the best student with the golden HUAk ring as a visible sign of their excellent performance.
