Today, a total of 220 recruits took their oath of allegiance to the Republic of Austria in strong winds and rain. The swearing-in ceremony took place in the presence of the military commander of Upper Austria, Brigadier Dieter Muhr, and the message of greeting to the young soldiers came from Klaus Fürlinger, Member of the National Council.
Brigadier Muhr addressed the parents, relatives and friends of the recruits directly, saying, “You can be proud of your sons, nephews and friends.”

The young soldiers arrived in Hörsching in January. They will continue their military training over the next few months and serve in Upper Austria. After a hot tea, the recruits were able to drive home with their families.
