There are currently around 1,500 soldiers on assistance missions in six federal states. The soldiers are assisting in 15 ongoing operations to clear the snow masses; 1,000 other soldiers, including avalanche task forces, are on standby.
The army uses a total of 30 pioneer vehicles (including backhoe loaders, dump trucks, wheel loaders) and 40 transport and large motor vehicles.

Lower Austria situation update
Around 140 soldiers are helping to restore the infrastructure in the Hochkar region. A further 25 soldiers from the Lower Austria Military Command are helping to restore telecommunications connections. Situation update Styria
The deployment in the municipality of Eisenerz continues to be the main focus: around 110 soldiers are helping to clear roofs there. The operations in Johnsbach, Grundlsee and Ramsau (with around 70 armed forces) are also continuing. Salzburg situation update
In the province of Salzburg, the Austrian Armed Forces are still deployed in six municipalities (Ebenau, Abtenau, Thalgau, Maria Alm, Taxenbach, Annaberg) with around 270 soldiers to clear snow from roads and roofs. Upper Austria situation update
In the municipalities of Gosau, Ebensee, Spital am Phyrn and Rosenau/Edelbach, around 570 soldiers are clearing snow from roofs and buildings.

Situation update Tyrol
Around 80 army assistants are still clearing snow from roofs in the municipalities of St. Johann in Tirol and St. Ulrich am Pillersee. Situation update Vorarlberg

16 helicopters and 130 air force soldiers are currently on standby to clear trees of snow (“downwash”), carry out supply flights and reconnaissance flights for avalanche blasting.
